Story
Introduction
Levan Lomidze — Electronic music producer and promoter. Founder and ideologist of the label Datenbits Recordings. The organizer of Deep Components, the series of night events and also the radio show. Known under the nick name Didactic Scalica, the project definitely and consciously flavoured with a portion of Deep.
In 2001 he established Detect project and recorded an EP named Electronic Materials. In 2003 he participated in Moscow project Fashion Suicide, which got very popular among synthetic pop music fans thanks to its original sound and extraordinary live shows. In 2007 Levan took a great interest in music production modern technologies and developed his own project Didactic Scalica. Continuing sound experiments, he completely reoriented to a new techno-house music.
In 2008 he founded techno label Datenbits Recordings. Within a short period of time, a great number of techno musicians and DJs checked in the label. Together with a promo group Love & Kindness and Denis Melody organised deep house and techno events in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. At the same time, Minimal Maze and Deep Components events were being held in Moscow clubs.
Moreover, in cooperation with DJ Tomm-T (Sergey Sentyakov) from St.Petersburg Levan launched Deep Components radio broadcasts.
Having moved to Latvia in 2013, Levan started actively participating as a DJ in techno events of major Riga promoters.
Levan kept on production activities, but due to disputes with Datenbits distributor, a new label Encased Records appeared in 2016. The concept of a new label goes a bit further towards experimental sound.
Currently, Levan is working his magic on new music, with the domination of atmospheric sound, deepening into dub, deep techno.
Fashion Suicide
STORY
Intro
The debut performance of Fashion Suicide took place at the Okno club in Moscow on May 26th, 2004. On July 31st of the same year, they released their first album, titled “Bright”. Fashion Suicide’s evolution as artists has been a captivating and irreversible process, showcasing their growth and development over time. At the time of their debut performance at the club “Okno”, the group was promoted and managed by Alexei Kostochkin.
He played a key role in bringing their musical vision to life, including his innovative approach to concert performances. It is flowing in strict conformity with actual inquiries of modern electronic music. Started with simple dancing rhythm Fashion Suicide has gradually generated their original sound – straight and accurate, exceptional, experimental synth-pop with a nice touch of electro, ebm and a techno.

Bright

2005
Heavenly Stars / Luminescent Void
In 2005, a single featuring four remixes of the song “Heavenly Stars” was released, including an electro remix by Denis Phill. In the same year, the album “Luminescent Void” was released. It included six songs: “Luminescent Void”, “DigitalOppression”, “Space Struggles” featuring DJ Sects, “Luminescent Void (All the Shame)”, “Luminescent Void (GretaGarbo Mix)” remixed by the Moscow synth pop group Last Page and Vladimir Glebov, and “Out of the Stars.”

The Final Fight
With their energetic live performances, Fashion Suicide has quickly become one of the hottest electronic music bands in Moscow and in 2006, Fashion Suicide released an album featuring remixes of the fan-favorite song “The Final Fight.” Musicians such as Rob Dirton & Mark Deutsch from Last Floor Hotel and Vladimir Glebov from Last Floor Hotel worked on the remixes, and also included experimental branded sounds from Lomidze.

Little Candy
In 2006, “Little Candy” was also released. The album’s cover design was graced by the talented artists Anna Maria Pangilinann and Maria Lunina. The lyrics of the song were a serendipitous creation, born from a spontaneous jam session at a party in one of Moscow’s apartments. Danila aka Stoned played a significant role in bringing these lyrics to life. As an added bonus, the album also included some remixed versions by the renowned Vladimir Glebov, adding a unique touch to the already standout tracks.

Instrumental Works
2003 — 2008
In the early days of January 2007, after a brief respite, Lomidze returned to the recording studio, eager to capture the essence of his musical vision. Nestled within the walls of his cozy studio, he meticulously crafted an instrumental EP titled “John Black”. As the creative process took shape, Lomidze joined forces with Maxim Drakon.
Together, they revisited all of their instrumental recordings made between 2003 – 2008. The result was a melancholic and atmospheric album that beautifully captured the essence of their musical journeys. Album finally released to the world on August 15th, 2008.

Milky Coocies
2008 was a period of intense creativity for Fashion Suicide, and on September 15th, they unveiled their “Space Walk” with ambient remixes. During this creative period, Fashion Suicide was joined by Philip B, whose exceptional talent made a significant impact on the band’s work. Together, they embarked on a new musical project, recording the single “MilkyCookies” with key remixes by Maxim Ulrich, Seven Side, and Radionica. The EP was released in December 2008.

Bitscrapped
Petya Korotkov, better known by his stage name Bitscrapped, is a multi-talented artist and musician. He joined the band in 2009 and quickly became a permanent member, lending his musical skills to the live performances as an electronic drummer. In addition to his live performances, he also recorded remixes for the track “Milka Cookies,” which was released on August 15, 2009, further highlighting his musical abilities.

A Guiding Light / One by One
“A Guiding Light” is highly regarded as one of Fashion Suicide’s best works in the synth-pop and electro-pop genres, along with Philip B. It is a proud and exceptional piece of music, renowned for its appealing sound and meaningful lyrics. The album features standout tracks such as “One By One”, “Confession for a Tulip”, and “A Guiding Light” featuring synth vocals from Philip B.
“Rush Into The Night” is also a popular choice among listeners due to its energetic pace. Additionally, the album includes a newly remixed version of “The Final Fight”.
Released on September 17, 2009, the album quickly gained widespread popularity. The track “One By One” was later released as a separate album featuring remixes by Seven Side and Levan Lomidze.
